| Abstract: | Práce se zaměřuje na investiční činnost komerčních pojišťoven v České republice a v Německu s cílem poskytnout komplexní přehled o přístupu k oceňování investic k datu účetní závěrky v komerčních pojišťovnách. V teoretické části jsou popsány legislativní rámce, zásady investování a typy finančních nástrojů využívaných pojišťovnami. Praktická část analyzuje a porovnává finanční umístění technických rezerv vybraných pojišťoven působících na obou trzích a zvláštní pozornost je věnována rozdílům v oceňování aktiv k datu účetní závěrky a investiční strategii. |

| Abstract: | The thesis focuses on the investment activities of commercial insurance companies in the Czech Republic and Germany, with the aim of providing a comprehensive overview of the approach to investment valuation as of the balance sheet date in commercial insurance companies. The theoretical part describes the legislative frameworks, investment principles, and types of financial instruments used by insurers. The practical part analyzes and compares the financial placement of technical provisions of selected insurance companies operating in both markets, with special attention given to differences in asset valuation at the balance sheet date and investment strategy. |
