Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá vztahem hrubého domácího produktu na obyvatele a mírou kriminality danou počtem policií registrovaných trestných činů v České republice v letech 2000 – 2020. Cílem práce je odhadnout vliv HDP per capita na kriminalitu pomocí ekonometrického modelu. K odhadnutí modelů byl použit datový soubor, který obsahuje data o HDP per capita, obecné míře nezaměstnanosti, počtu registrovaných trestných činů, počtu příslušníků policie a počtu lidí s vysokoškolským vzděláním v České republice v letech 2000 – 2020. Odhadnuté koeficienty HDP per capita sice naznačují jak pozitivní, tak negativní vliv na míru kriminality, nicméně není statisticky významný. |

This bachelor thesis examines the influence of GDP per capita on the crime rate, given as the number of recorded crimes by the police inc Czech republic in the years 2000 – 2020. The goal of this thesis is to develop an econometric model to estimate the effect of GDP per capita on crime rate. For making of the model the data set used contains the variables: GDP per capita, rate of unemployment, number of police recorded crimes, number of police officers and the number of people with a college/university education in Czech republic in years 2000 – 2020. The estimated coefficients do suggest both a positive and negative relationship between GDP per capita and crime rate, GDP per capita is not statisticallysignificant. |
