| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se věnuje historickému vývoji bankovního sektoru na území dnešní České republiky do roku 1948. Práce popisuje vznik a proměny bankovních institucí od raného středověku, přes Rakousko-Uhersko, období první Československé republiky a období Protektorátu Čechy a Morava, až po poválečné znárodnění bank. Jednotlivé kapitoly se zaměřují na vznik a rozvoj klíčových bankovních institucích, vliv významných historických událostí, měnovou politiku a transformace bankovního sektoru v reakci na měnící se podmínky. Práce dokládá, jak byl vývoj bankovnictví v českých zemích úzce propojen s politickými rozhodnutími, ekonomickými krizemi i společenskými proměnami. Pozornost je také věnována období znárodnění bank po roce 1945, které znamenalo zásadní přechod k centrálně plánované ekonomice. Tato práce zároveň zdůrazňuje, že pochopení historických souvislostí je klíčové pro lepší porozumění současnému bankovnímu sektoru a jeho roli v ekonomice České republiky. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis deals with the historical development of the banking sector in the territory of the present-day Czech Republic until 1948. The thesis describes the emergence and changes of banking institutions from the early Middle Ages, through the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the period of the First Czechoslovak Republic and the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, to the post-war nationalisation of banks. Individual chapters focus on the emergence and development of key banking institutions, the impact of major historical events, monetary policy and the transformation of the banking sector in response to changing conditions. The work illustrates how the development of banking in the Czech lands was closely linked to political decisions, economic crises and social transformations. Attention is also paid to the period of bank nationalization after 1945, which marked a fundamental transition to a centrally planned economy. This thesis also emphasizes that understanding the historical context is crucial for a better understanding of the current banking sector and its role in the Czech economy. |
