| Abstract: | Tato bakalářské práce si klade za cíl analyzovat, jak se měnila konkurenceschopnost především jihoevropských států v letech 2007-2015, a jaké jsou hlavní determinanty jejího vývoje. V první části práce jsou prozkoumány a zpracovány teoretické základy národní konkurenceschopnosti, a také způsoby jejího měření a vztahy s vybranými makroekonomickými veličinami. V druhé části je pak provedena samotná analýza vybraných ukazatelů národní konkurenceschopnosti, především jednotkových mzdových nákladů, jeho komponent, reálného efektivního kurzu, sald běžného účtu a zahraničního zadlužení. Z analýzy vyplývá, že za ztrátou konkurenceschopnosti většiny zasažených zemí stojí pomalu rostoucí produktivita práce a vysoké mzdy, a to i přes vysokou míru nezaměstnanosti. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis aims to analyze how the competitiveness of primarily Southern European countries changed between 2007 and 2015, and what the main determinants of its development are. The first part of the thesis explores and elaborates on the theoretical foundations of national competitiveness, including methods of its measurement and its relationships with selected macroeconomic indicators. The second part presents an analysis of selected indicators of national competitiveness, particularly unit labor costs, their components, the real effective exchange rate, current account balances, and foreign debt. The analysis shows that the loss of competitiveness in most of the affected countries is primarily due to slow productivity growth and high wages, despite high unemployment rates. |
