| Abstract: | Tato práce nabízí ucelený pohled na strategickou pozici a finanční zdraví společnosti Barry Callebaut AG. V práci jsou zpracovány hlavní politické, ekonomické, sociální a technologické faktory ovlivňující společnost. Dále je provedena Porterova analýza pěti sil pro odvětví výroby čokolády. Finanční analýza byla zpracována pomocí vybraných poměrových ukazatelů a nabízí srovnání společnosti s vybranou skupinou konkurenčních společností. Poslední kapitolou této práce je SWOT analýza, která nabízí shrnutí získaných poznatků a identifikuje slabé a silné stránky společnosti jako i hrozby a příležitosti. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis offers a comprehensive view of the strategic position and financial health of the company Barry Callebaut AG. The thesis shows the main political, economic, social and technological factors affecting the company. Furthermore, Porter's analysis of five forces for the chocolate industry was prepared. The financial analysis has been prepared by using selected financial ratios and offers a comparison of the company with a selected peer group. The last chapter of this thesis is a SWOT analysis, which offers a summary of the knowledge gained and identifies the company's weaknesses and strengths as well as threats and opportunities. |
