| Abstract: | Diplomová práce je zaměřena na vývoj a řízení pracovního kapitálu v sektoru stavebnictví v České republice. Výzkum je proveden na TOP 500 společnostech v rámci odvětví stavebnictví rozdělených do skupin dle velikosti a sledovaných v letech 2014-2023. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak se vyvíjí řízení pracovního kapitálu mezi velikostními skupinami, jaké přístupy a nástroje firmy v tomto odvětví aplikují a na řízení jakých položek pracovního kapitálu kladou největší důraz. První část práce se věnuje představení aktuální situace a specifik stavebnictví. Dále na ni navazuje vymezení teoretického rámce pro následnou analýzu. Třetí část se zabývá popisem datové analýzy již definovaného vzorku a jejím vyhodnocením. Poslední část práce se zaměřuje na doplnění výsledků datové analýzy o kvalitativní výzkum prostřednictvím rozhovorů s finančními řediteli společností tohoto odvětví. Výzkumem je zjištěn vývoj ukazatelů pracovního kapitálu ve stavebnictví, přístupy a užívané nástroje jednotlivých firem k jeho řízení. |

| Abstract: | This thesis focuses on the development and management of working capital. The research is conducted on the TOP 500 companies within the construction sector in the Czechia, covering the period from 2014 to 2023 and categorized by company size. The aim of the thesis is to examine how working capital management evolves across different size groups, to identify the approaches and tools applied by companies in this sector, and to determine which components of working capital are prioritized in management practices. The first part of the thesis presents the current situation and specific characteristics of the construction industry. This is followed by the definition of the theoretical framework for the subsequent analysis. The third part describes the data analysis performed on the defined sample and presents its evaluation. The final part of the thesis complements the findings of the data analysis with qualitative research based on interviews with chief financial officers of companies operating in the sector. The research identifies the trends in working capital indicators in the construction sector, as well as the approaches and tools used by companies for its management. |
