| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou tvorby peněz v moderní ekonomice. Teoretická část představuje exogenní a endogenní teorii peněz a zdůrazňuje rozdílnou roli centrálních a komerčních bank v procesu tvorby peněz. Empirická část využívá Grangerův test kauzality k analýze vztahů mezi úvěry, vklady a měnovou bází v české ekonomice v letech 2013–2024. Výsledky ukazují, že úvěry statisticky předcházejí vkladům, zatímco měnová báze nevykazuje žádnou predikční sílu. Výsledky podporují endogenní teorii peněz. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis investigates the process of money creation in the modern economy. The theoretical section contrasts exogenous and endogenous monetary theories, highlighting the differing roles of central and commercial banks. The empirical part applies the Granger causality test to assess the relationships between loans, deposits, and the monetary base in the Czech Republic from 2013 to 2024. The results indicate that loans statistically precede deposits, while the monetary base shows no predictive power. These findings support the endogenous money theory. |
