| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou investování do kryptoměn, přičemž zvláštní pozornost je věnována Bitcoinu jako nejrozšířenější a nejvlivnější kryptoměně současnosti. Cílem práce je srozumitelně a systematicky představit základní principy fungování Bitcoinu, a to jak z technologického, tak ekonomického hlediska, a dále popsat praktické aspekty spojené s jeho nákupem, uchováním a prodejem. V praktické části jsou na základě historických dat z let 2021–2023 porovnány dvě základní investiční strategie – Buy and Hold a Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) – z hlediska výnosnosti a rizikovosti. Výsledky jsou interpretovány s ohledem na odlišnou míru rizikové tolerance modelových investorů. Práce si klade za cíl poskytnout ucelený přehled klíčových informací potřebných pro kvalifikované rozhodování o vstupu na trh s kryptoměnami. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of cryptocurrency investing, with particular attention given to Bitcoin as the most widespread and influential cryptocurrency to date. The aim of the thesis is to clearly and systematically present the fundamental principles of Bitcoin's functioning, both from a technological and economic perspective, and to describe the practical aspects related to its purchase, storage, and sale. In the practical section, two basic investment strategies — Buy and Hold and Dollar-Cost Averaging (DCA) — are compared using historical data from the years 2021–2023, with respect to their profitability and risk. The results are interpreted in the context of differing levels of risk tolerance among model investors. The thesis aims to provide a comprehensive overview of key information necessary for making informed decisions about entering the cryptocurrency market. |
