Kultura představuje významný nástroj diplomacie, jelikož podporuje vzájemné porozumění a dialog mezi státy. Tato bakalářská práce je jednopřípadovou kvalitativní studií, která se zabývá současnou norskou kulturní diplomacií v České republice. Práce vychází z teorie měkké moci a akademických poznatků o kulturní diplomacii a jejích nástrojích. Práce nejprve představuje obecnou strategii norské kulturní diplomacie, která je postavena zejména na sedmi kulturních organizacích sdružených do sítě Norwegian Arts Abroad. V České republice je pak norská kulturní diplomacie realizována skrze různé nástroje, v práci jsou analyzovány čtyři nejvýraznější – Fondy EHP a Norské fondy, organizace NORLA, Skandinávský dům a akademická výměna a spolupráce. Prostřednictvím těchto nástrojů Norsko v ČR akcentuje především své současné umění, norský jazyk a hodnoty, jako je inkluze, rovnoprávnost, solidarita, vzdělání a partnerství. |

| Abstract: |
Culture represents an important diplomatic instrument, as it fosters mutual understanding and dialogue between states. This bachelor’s thesis is a single-case qualitative study focusing on contemporary Norwegian cultural diplomacy in the Czech Republic. The thesis is based on the soft power theory and scholarly insights about cultural diplomacy and its instruments. Firstly, the thesis presents the general strategy of Norwegian cultural diplomacy, which is based primarily on seven cultural organizations forming the Norwegian Arts Abroad network. In the Czech Republic, the Norwegian cultural diplomacy is implemented through various instruments, while the four most prominent are analysed in the thesis – EEA and Norway Grants, organisation NORLA, the Scandinavian House and academic exchange and cooperation. These instruments mainly promote Norway’s contemporary arts, the Norwegian language, and values such as inclusion, equality, solidarity, education and partnership. |
