AI agent prototype: GenAI for metadata management in business environment

This thesis deals with the issue of metadata management in an enterprise environment with a focus on the possibilities of using generative artificial intelligence. In the context of increasing volume and variety of data, effective metadata management is a key prerequisite for managing data assets and ensuring information quality in an organization. The aim of this work is to analyze current approaches to metadata management, identify the possibilities and limits of using generative AI in this area, and design and experimentally validate a working prototype AI agent for automated metadata management. The results of the work provide practical recommendations for the implementation of GenAI in metadata processes and provide a comparison of the performance of manual and automated approaches. The conclusions and recommendations can serve as inspiration for further implementations within enterprise data management.
