Předkládaná diplomová práce se zaměřuje na působení soukromých vojenských společností ve Středoafrické republice v období od roku 2014 do současnosti. Práce je rozdělena do šesti kapitol, přičemž v teoretické části autorka vymezuje koncept privatizace bezpečnosti, představuje typologii soukromých vojenských společností a zasazuje danou problematiku do širšího rámce bezpečnostních studií. Empirická část se opírá o analýzu faktorů ovlivňujících současnou bezpečnostní situaci ve Středoafrické republice a hodnotí konkrétní projevy činnosti soukromých vojenských společností. Výzkum vychází ze dvou hlavních analytických rámců: bezpečnostního a humanitárně-lidskoprávního. Tyto dvě vytyčené oblasti autorce pomohly k zodpovězení stanové výzkumné otázky a naplnění cíle práce. Závěry ukazují, že soukromé vojenské společnosti ve zkoumaném prostředí představují zásadní destabilizační faktor. Systematicky oslabují státní autoritu, znesnadňují úsilí peacekeepingových operací a přispívají k prohlubování humanitární krize. |

| Abstract: |
This diploma thesis focuses on the role of private military companies in the Central African Republic between 2014 and the present. The thesis is structured into six chapters. In the theoretical section, the author defines the concept of security privatization, outlines a typology of private military companies, and situates the topic within the broader framework of security studies. The empirical part is based on an analysis of the key factors influencing the current security situation in the Central African Republic and evaluates the specific manifestations of the activities of private military companies. The research is based on two main analytical frameworks: the security and the humanitarian dimensions. These two dimensions enabled the author to answer the research question and fulfill the aim of the thesis. The findings demonstrate that private military companies represent a significant destabilizing factor in the examined context. They systematically undermine state authority, obstruct peacekeeping efforts, and contribute to the deepening of the humanitarian crisis. |
