Tato diplomová práce se zabývá úlohou rizikového a soukromého kapitálu při podpoře inovací a hospodářského růstu v České republice. Přináší přehled statistických charakteristik trhu rizikového kapitálu a soukromého kapitálu ve srovnání s jinými regiony a vztahuje je k reálným obchodním případům ve dvou případových studiích a k údajům získaným z veřejně dostupných zdrojů. Zjišťuje, jak Private Equity zavádí růstové příležitosti pro zavedené společnosti, zatímco Venture Capital umožňuje inovace zejména v nově vznikajících digitálních odvětvích, jako je umělá inteligence. V neposlední řadě jsou zkoumány přístupy k měření úspěšnosti investic Venture Capital nebo Private Equity investorů. |

| Abstract: |
This diploma thesis explores the role of Venture Capital and Private Equity in fostering innovation and economic growth in Czech Republic. It overviews statistical characteristics of the Venture Capital and Private Equity market in comparison to other regions and relates them to real business cases in two case studies as well as data gathered from publicly available sources. It is found how Private Equity introduces growth opportunities for established companies while Venture Capital enables innovation especially in emerging digital industries like AI. Finally, there are approaches to measuring success of investments by Venture Capital or Private Equity investors investigated. |
