Czech-Spanish cultural standards in the workplace

The aim of this thesis is to identify Spanish cultural standards from the perspective of Czechs and Czech cultural standards from the perspective of Spaniards within the workplace environment, and to formulate recommendations for Czechs preparing to work in Spain based on both secondary and primary research. The thesis explores national culture and its relationship to organizational culture, factors influencing the success of foreign workers, and existing insights into the cultures of interest through the cultural models of Hofstede, Trompenaars, and GLOBE, as well as prior research on cultural standards. Spanish-Czech and Czech-Spanish cultural standards in the workplace were identified using the critical incident method by A. Thomas. Recommendations were formulated based on the findings of the primary and secondary research.
