Motivation and activities of hunting association board members

This diploma thesis focuses on analyzing the motivation of board members of hunting associations operating in the Czech Republic. Its aim is to identify key motivational and demotivational factors influencing members’ willingness to hold leadership positions within the organization. The study also examines the roles held and the actual activities performed by board members, as well as their impact on motivation and demotivation, including testing relationships between (de)motivation and selected demographic and structural variables. Based on a questionnaire survey including both closed and open-ended questions, individual attitudes and experiences of respondents were captured, and the main motivational and demotivational factors were identified. No statistically significant relationships were found for most variables, with the exception of the correlation between community motivation and age, and demotivation associated with the position of chairman. The findings provide a basis for recommendations aimed at strengthening board members’ motivation and improving the efficiency of leadership within hunting associations.
