| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá mzdovou konvergencí České republiky a Německa v období mezi lety 2012 až 2022 se zaměřením na IT sektor a automobilový průmysl. Obě odvětví představují rozdílné postavení ve světovém hodnotovém řetězci a vytvářejí odlišnou přidanou hodnotu, což může ovlivňovat jejich tempo konvergence. Cílem práce je ověřit hypotézu, že mzdová konvergence probíhá úspěšněji v IT sektoru než v automobilovém průmyslu a že tento jev souvisí s rychleji rostoucí produktivitou práce. Metodika kombinuje kvantitativní přístup založený na výpočtu ukazatelů konvergence mezd a produktivity práce a kvalitativní analýzu výsledků v kontextu odborných studií. Práce je rozdělena do dvou kapitol: teoretické části věnované konvergenci českého hospodářství a postavení IT sektoru a automobilového průmyslu a analytické části zaměřené na konvergenci mezd a produktivity práce. Výsledky přispívají k pochopení současného vývoje a možného budoucího směřování českého hospodářství. |

| Abstract: | The thesis examines wage convergence between the Czech Republic and Germany over the period from 2012 to 2022, focusing on the IT sector and the automotive industry. These two sectors differ in their position within the global value chain and in the level of value added they generate, which may influence their pace of convergence. The aim of the thesis is to verify the hypothesis that wage convergence is more successful in the IT sector than in the automotive industry and that this phenomenon is related to faster-growing labour productivity. The methodology combines a quantitative approach based on the calculation of wage and productivity convergence indicators with a qualitative analysis of the results in the context of relevant academic studies. The thesis is divided into two chapters: a theoretical part discussing the convergence of the Czech economy and the position of the IT sector and the automotive industry, and an analytical part focused on wage and productivity convergence. The findings contribute to understanding the current development and the possible future trajectory of the Czech economy. |
