| Abstract: | Diplomová práce zkoumá ruskou mocenskou politiku v Africe prostřednictvím teorie světového systému a sub-imperialismu. Cílem je identifikovat ekonomické a vojensko-bezpečnostní mechanismy, jimiž Rusko rozšiřuje svůj vliv v afrických státech, a posoudit, zda tyto vztahy vykazují asymetrii typickou pro model centrum-periferie. Analýza se zaměřuje na dvě oblasti ruského vlivu, ekonomickou a vojenskou, na příkladech Mali, Nigeru, Burkina Faso, Libye, Středoafrické republiky, Rovníkové Guinei. Výsledky ukazují, že Rusko aktivity vykazují znaky asymetrie ve vztahu k africkým zemím, a že se jedná o proces, který přispívá k vytváření závislostních vazeb a posilování ruského postavení v rámci světového systému. |

| Abstract: | The thesis examines Russia's power politics in Africa through the lens of the World-system theory and sub-imperialism. Its aim is to identify the economic and military mechanisms through which Russia expands its influence in African states, and to assess whether theses relations display the asymmetry typical of the core-periphery model. The analysis focuses on two areas of Russian influence, economic and military, using case studies of Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso, Libya, the Central African Republic, and Equatorial Guinea. The findings show that Russian activities exhibit clear asymmetries in relation to African states and constitute a process that contributes to the creation of dependency relations and the strengthening of Russia's position within the world-system. |
