| Abstract: | Práce se zabývá analýzou vlivu zvyšování minimální mzdy na celkovou míru nezaměstnanosti a míru nezaměstnanosti pracovníků s nízkou kvalifikací v České republice v letech 2012–2024, doplněnou o komparaci s vývojem trhu práce v Rakousku a Itálii. Cílem práce je ověřit, zda zvyšování minimální mzdy v České republice v letech 2012–2024 mělo statisticky významný vliv na míru nezaměstnanosti. Téma je aktuální vzhledem k výraznému růstu minimální mzdy v České republice v posledních letech a dlouhodobě přetrvávající debatě o jejích dopadech na trh práce. Autor využívá deskriptivní analýzu, korelační analýzu a ekonometrické modely vícenásobné regrese metodou nejmenších čtverců (OLS) s kontrolními proměnnými HDP a inflace. Analýza pracuje se čtvrtletními daty z Českého statistického úřadu, České národní banky a Eurostatu. Výsledky OLS modelů ukazují, že růst minimální mzdy nemá statisticky významný vliv na celkovou míru nezaměstnanosti ani míru nezaměstnanosti nízkokvalifikovaných pracovníků, což potvrzuje poznatky z relevantních studií v českém prostředí. |

| Abstract: | This thesis analyzes the impact of minimum wage increases on the overall unemployment rate and the unemployment rate of low-skilled workers in the Czech Republic between 2012 and 2024, complemented by a comparison with labor market developments in Austria and Italy. The aim of the thesis is to verify whether minimum wage increases in the Czech Republic between 2012 and 2024 had a statistically significant impact on the unemployment rate. The topic is relevant due to the significant growth of the minimum wage in the Czech Republic in recent years and the long-standing debate regarding its impact on the labor market. The author employs descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, and Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) multiple regression models with GDP and inflation as control variables. The analysis utilizes quarterly data from the Czech Statistical Office, the Czech National Bank, and Eurostat. The results of the OLS models indicate that minimum wage growth has no statistically significant impact on either the overall unemployment rate or the unemployment rate of low-skilled workers, which confirms findings from relevant studies within the Czech context. |
