| Abstract: |
Tato práce se zabývá vlivem mezinárodní organizace UNICEF na snižování dětské chudoby a sociální nerovnosti v Brazílii. Cílem práce je analyzovat a vyhodnotit dopady specifických programů a intervencí UNICEF na životní podmínky dětí, a to s důrazem na regionální rozdíly mezi rozvinutějším jihem a chudším severovýchodem země. Empirická část práce využívá data z let 2010–2023 k posouzení vývoje monetární i multidimenzionální chudoby a analyzuje přístup dětí k základním službám, jako je vzdělání, zdravotní péče a sanitace. Práce rovněž reflektuje vliv externích šoků, konkrétně pandemie COVID-19, na stabilitu sociálních ukazatelů a porovnává efektivitu mezinárodních intervencí s národními sociálními politikami, jako je program Bolsa Família. V závěru jsou formulována doporučení pro budoucí strategické zacílení rozvojové pomoci v kontextu brazilské makroekonomické stability |

| Abstract: |
This thesis examines the impact of the international organization UNICEF on reducing child poverty and social inequality in Brazil. The objective of the study is to analyze and evaluate the effects of specific UNICEF programs and interventions on the living conditions of children, with an emphasis on regional disparities between the more developed South and the impoverished Northeast. The empirical part of the thesis utilizes data from the period 2010–2023 to assess the development of both monetary and multidimensional poverty, analyzing children's access to essential services such as education, healthcare, and sanitation. Furthermore, the study reflects on the influence of external shocks, specifically the COVID-19 pandemic, on the stability of social indicators and compares the effectiveness of international interventions with national social policies, such as the Bolsa Família program. In conclusion, recommendations are formulated for the future strategic targeting of development aid within the context of Brazil's macroeconomic stability. |
