| Abstract: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá udržitelností v globálním dodavatelském řetězci společnosti LEGO Group. Cílem práce je analyzovat přístup této společnosti k udržitelnosti se zaměřením na zavádění udržitelných praktik a jejich promítnutí do vývoje environmentálních ukazatelů. Teoretická část definuje klíčové pojmy v oblasti udržitelnosti, CSR a globálních dodavatelských řetězců, včetně mechanismů řízení a bariér. Dále vymezuje klíčové oblasti udržitelnosti se specifiky pro odvětví výroby hraček. Praktická část je zpracována jako kvalitativní případová studie založená na analýze sekundárních dat doplněné o vlastní výpočty relativních ukazatelů a doplňující kvantitativní odhady. Konkrétně je analyzováno pět klíčových oblastí: emise skleníkových plynů, materiálová struktura výrobků, obalové materiály, odpadové hospodářství a řízení dodavatelů. Na základě těchto dat posuzuje práce efektivitu environmentální strategie společnosti. Výsledky poukazují na rozpor mezi zlepšující se environmentální efektivitou provozu společnosti a rostoucím celkovým dopadem na životní prostředí. |

| Abstract: | This bachelor's thesis addresses sustainability in the global supply chain of the LEGO Group. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the company's approach to sustainability, focusing on the implementation of sustainable practices and their reflection in the development of environmental indicators. The theoretical part defines key concepts in the field of sustainability, CSR, and global supply chains, including management mechanisms and barriers. Furthermore, it outlines key areas of sustainability with specificities for the toy manufacturing industry. The practical part is conducted as a qualitative case study based on the analysis of secondary data supplemented by the author's own calculations of relative indicators and additional quantitative estimates. Specifically, five key areas are analyzed: greenhouse gas emissions, material composition of products, packaging materials, waste management, and supplier management. Based on these data, the thesis assesses the effectiveness of the company's environmental strategy. The results point to a discrepancy between the improving environmental efficiency of the company's operations and the increasing overall environmental impact. |
