Business Plan - Legal and Economic Aspects of Establishing a Fitness Center

This bachelor’s thesis focuses on developing a comprehensive business plan for establishing a fitness center in Prague. The main objective of the thesis is to critically assess the feasibility of this project, with an emphasis on legal and economic aspects. In its introductory sections, the thesis analyzes current trends in the fitness industry and compares the advantages and disadvantages of various legal forms of business in the Czech Republic. Attention is also given to a detailed definition of space and personnel requirements, an analysis of the competition in the Barrandov area, and the design of a marketing strategy utilizing the concept of an expanded marketing mix. The key output is a detailed financial plan prepared for the first three years of operation across three different development scenarios. It provides a detailed calculation of future revenues, operating costs, and factors such as opportunity costs. The thesis concludes with an assessment of the project’s feasibility, which serves as a fundamental basis for the final decision regarding its future implementation.
