Abstrakt:
Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou zaměstnanosti osob starších 55 let v Praze a Ústeckém kraji v letech 2014–2024. Cílem je analyzovat vývoj zaměstnanosti této věkové skupiny a identifikovat regionální rozdíly mezi sledovanými kraji. Problematika zaměstnanosti starších osob nabývá na významu zejména v souvislosti s demografickým stárnutím populace, které představuje výzvu pro udržitelnost důchodového systému i veřejných financí. Teoretická část vymezuje základní pojmy související s trhem práce, stárnutím populace a hospodářsko-politickými přístupy k zaměstnávání starších osob. Praktická část nejprve charakterizuje zkoumané regiony a následně analyzuje vývoj zaměstnanosti z hlediska absolutních hodnot, indexů vývoje a míry zaměstnanosti. Součástí práce je rovněž regresní analýza vybraných faktorů ovlivňujících zaměstnanost sledované věkové skupiny. Výsledky potvrzují rostoucí trend zaměstnanosti osob ve věku 55-64 let v obou regionech, přičemž v Ústeckém kraji byl tento vývoj dynamičtější. Současně byla prokázána statisticky významná závislost mezi mírou zaměstnanosti a průměrnou mzdou a obecnou mírou nezaměstnanosti, přičemž u průměrného starobního důchodu byl identifikován nelineární vztah. Vliv naděje dožití nebyl jako statisticky významný faktor potvrzen.

Abstrakt:
This bachelor’s thesis examines the employment of people aged 55 and older in Prague and the Ústí nad Labem Region in the years 2014 to 2024. The aim is to analyse employment trends among this age group and identify regional differences between the regions under study. The issue of employment among older workers is gaining significance, particularly in connection with the demographic ageing of the population, which poses a major challenge to the sustainability of the pension system and public finances. The theoretical section defines basic concepts related to the labour market, population aging, and economic and policy approaches to the employment of older adults. The practical section first characterizes the region under study and then analyses employment trends in terms of absolute values, growth indices, and employment rates. The study also includes a regression analysis of selected factors influencing employment among the target age group. The results confirm a growing trend in employment among people aged 55-64 in both regions, with this trend being more dynamic in the Ústí Region. At the same time, a statistically significant relationship was demonstrated between the employment rate and the average wage and the general unemployment rate, while a nonlinear relationship was identified with the average old-age pension. The influence of life expectancy was not confirmed as a statistically significant factor.
