Vliv antiestablishmentových politických stran na proměnu německého stranického systému

This master thesis mainly focuses on party system of the Federal Republic of Germany and it’s changes in recent years due to parties which we call antiestablishment parties. The aim of the thesis is to describe the factors influencing the transformation of the German party system and to answer the question of how the antiestablishment parties contribute to this process by analyzing the regional elections held in 2016 and 2017. In the first part there is described the theory of party systems of M. Duverger, J. Blondel and G. Sartori, focusing on those systems that are relevant to Germany, and the theory of antiestablishment parties. Further there is outlined the development of German party system since 19th century when it began to form. In the third part, the antiestablishment parties such as the Greens, the Left, the Alternative for Germany, and the Pirates Party are introduced, and there is also determined, why these parties are considered as antiestablishment parites. The last chapter is devoted to the analysis of elections in nine states held in 2016 and 2017. The analysis is carried out with respect to the objective of this thesis and also focuses on whether the geographical location of the particular states, and their historical relevance to the GDR or the FRG, have an influence to the election results.
