Univerzitní plánovače z pohledu grafického designu

This bachelor thesis deals with problematics of planners and diaries. It focuses on the planners for university students and their needs, which regular diaries fail to meet. The goal of this thesis is to map the Czech market with these products and propose a solution, which would better reflect a university lifestyle.In a theoretical part of the thesis, the connection between the planner design and the graphic design is described. First, the thesis deals with physical attributes of planners, options for design and how the choice of those influences the look and usability of the planner. Next, the thesis focuses on the description of modules, as the planner building blocks, their variations and ways of use, and judges their usefulness for a student planner.A practical part starts with the description of the situation on the Czech market with diaries and planner, then moves to designing the planner itself. First, the research is created to find out how university students imagine their perfect planner. Then, the research is evaluated. Based on the results of the research, the attributes of planners and the featured modules are decided. Finally, the diagram of the planner pages is assembled and all the layouts for the final product are described.The benefits of this thesis are the mapping of the Czech market with the diaries and planners, the revelation of students’ preferences and their usage for designing a planner, which targets a smaller group of users and that is why it can better serve their needs.
