This thesis is focused on the issue of the identity management. It describes principles, specifics, benefits and impacts in general and the practical implementation into the real company ALD Automotive s.r.o. Thesis provide insight into the issues of management and administration of digital identities in company. The theoretical part of the thesis, in form of a research of available information and its synthesis, is focused on the definition and presentation of the issue of the identity management. The aim of this work is describe the whole process of the practical implementation. To achieve it, some particular aims like define the basic principles of management and administration issues of digital identities, the analysis of possible solutions and selection of a supplier, the analysis of processes and rules related to the issue, and installation and configuration of the identity management solution Evolveum midPoint must be accomplished. Focused on an easy use and an intuitive work with the identities for standard users, the identity management is not only beneficial to IT staff but also to all employees, from a standard employee to the top management. The output of the thesis is a basic insight into the issue of the identity management, overview of the basic functions and characteristics of the identity management, comparison of advantages and disadvantages of these solutions and the process of implementation of the chosen solution into the production environment of ALD Automotive s.r.o. Thus, this thesis can be used as a basis for the selection and implementation of the identity management into one’s company.
