Abstrakt:
The diploma thesis is devoted to the development of IT company managers in the fields of leadership, focusing on comparison of literature and ideas of individual managers on the topic of leadership, discovering problems in terms of managers development in a particular organization and suggesting possible solutions and improvements from the local office. The main aim of the thesis is to carry out two analyzes, namely the analysis of development needs of managers and analysis of development opportunities in the areas of leadership in a particular company, and their mutual comparison. The aim of the work was achieved by using triangulation of qualitative research methods of data collection, namely in-depth interview, content analysis of company documentation and projection technique of word associations. The thesis uses methods of content and frame analysis to analyze the obtained data. Among the most significant results is the finding that the managers of the local office are satisfied with the company's development opportunities. However, despite this finding, research has identified three problems that are troubling managers concerning their development. The work provides recommendations to the local office of the company, which include suggestions for possible solutions of identified problems, as well as ideas for expanding and eventually improving local development activities for managers. The second important finding is the identification of discrepancies between the company's image of leadership and the leadership image of its managers.
