| Abstrakt: | Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou řízení podnikových dat. Cílem této práce je navrhnout a implementovat řešení business slovníku ve vybrané společnosti. Implementace daného nástroje má za cíl umožnit společnosti definovat jednotnou terminologii napříč všemi odděleními. Teoretická část seznámí čtenáře s konceptem Data Managementu a následně se zaměří na popis Data Governance. Mimo to budou v rámci práce představeny nástroje Data Quality a Metadata, které napomáhají k efektivitě Data Governance. Nakonec bude čtenář seznámen se systémem Data Warehouse a jeho rolí v rámci Business Intelligence. Praktická část obsahuje návrh řešení, který je vytvořen na základě analýzy odborné literatury, nabytých znalostí z teoretické části, kapitoly popisující současný stav společnosti a zkušeností autorky z praxe. Výsledkem praktické části je implementace business slovníku do prostředí vybrané společnosti. V závěru jsou zhodnoceny cíle definované v úvodu této práce a výzvy, které byly spojeny s návrhem a implementací návrhu. Na konec je popsán výsledek implementace a návrhy na možné zlepšení. |

| Abstrakt: | This bachelor thesis aims on the problematics of company data management. The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a solution of a business glossary within a selected company. The goal of an implementation of a designated instrument is to allow the company to define a unified terminology throughout all the company departments. The theoretical part of the thesis will acquaint the readers with the concept of Data Management and further on describe the topic of Data Governance. Other than that, the instruments of Data Quality and Metadata will be presented, which add on to the effectivity of Data Governance. At last, the readers will be introduced to the Data Warehouse system and its role in Business Intelligence. The practical part of the thesis consists of the design of a solution, based on the analysis of professional literature, newly gained knowledge, the chapter describing the actual state of the company and the author’s practical experience. The result of the practical part of this thesis is the implementation of the business glossary into the environment of the company. In conclusion, the defined goals and challenges related to the design and implementation of the proposed solution are evaluated. Lastly the outcome of the implementation and suggestions to possible improvements are described. |
