Analýza​a návrh řešení business intelligence pro pojišťovací​ společnost

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse and design a new business intelligence solution in the insurance industry, specifically insurance intermediaries. The analysis and subsequent solution are based on theoretical sources, legal regulations and information obtained from companies in the sector. The first sub-objective is to define an insurance company and characterize the insurance market in the Czech Republic for the purpose of an analysis. This is achieved by research of literature and internet sources and academic theses together with consultations provided by companies in the sector. Furthermore, to compile a general analysis of an insurance company, i.e. to map standard management areas, information technology management areas and management areas typical for an insurance company. Last but not least, the aim is to build a proposal for a self-service business intelligence solution for a selected management area of an insurance company, to describe the dimensional model of the proposal and to transform it in the last step via Tableau software into a pilot SSBI solution. The output of this thesis is a theoretical description of BI solutions for insurance companies, especially the management areas typical for insurance intermediaries and their description according to the MBI methodology, followed by an example of a solution for a selected management area.
