Russia has increasingly come out with verbal criticism of the actions of the West, demonstrating its independent position, but positioning itself as a systemic player, part of the "civilized world". This independence was based on the stabilization of the domestic political situation and the steady growth of the Russian economy. Increasingly, statements about the strategic importance of cooperation with Russia began to be heard in the European Union. During the period under study, a new model of relations developed between Russia and the European Union, and the tone of the political dialogue changed. This article will analyze the energy cooperation between Russia and the European Union. One of the main methods of econometric analysis of this work is correlation and regression analysis (CRA), based on the construction of a pair or multiple regression equation, as well as an assessment of its statistical significance. Taking data such as average export prices for natural gas per 1000 m3, US dollars per ton, average export prices for crude oil, US dollars per ton, the level of employment in Russia on average, GDP growth rates, the ratio of organizations' working capital in the Russian Federation, return on assets of organizations in the Russian Federation. The results that have emerged show us that over the past decade, between Russia and the European Union, relations have become even more tense compared to the beginning of the 21st century. Empirical data show that the relationship between the value of foreign trade turnover of Russian energy resources and average export prices for natural gas is inverse, weak, average export prices for crude oil is inverse, almost not observed, the level of employment is inverse, weak, GDP growth rates are direct, close, by the ratio of own working capital of organizations in the Russian Federation - direct, moderate, by the return on assets of organizations in the Russian Federation - direct, noticeable. The closest relationship is observed in the GDP growth rate. |
