Motivace studujících FPH VŠE pracovat během studia

The diploma thesis deals with the issue of secondary employment of students of the Faculty of Business Administration of the Prague University of Economics and Business (FPH VŠE) and the motivation of students to combine study and work. The aim of the work is to find out whether there are differences in the motives for combining study and work among bachelor's and master's degree students of FPH VŠE, whether the number of working hours affects the student‘s average and what strategies FPH VŠE students use to combine study and work. The first part of the thesis is the theoretical basis for the issue of secondary employment of students. The empirical part is based on the analysis of a questionnaire survey and semistructured interviews. There are differences in motives for combining work and studies between bachelor's and master's degree students. There is a statistically significant relationship between the number of working hours and the student's grade point average. Students use three main strategies to successfully combine study and work: strategies supported by the employer, strategies supported by the education system and strategies of student‘s time management.
