The thesis combines theoretical and practical components, providing a comprehensive view of Bitcoin and its market. The theoretical part addresses fundamental aspects of Bitcoin, including the reason for its creation, mining, environmental impacts, history, and adoption. The practical part focuses on analysing the relationships between the market price of Bitcoin, trading volume, and mining fees. The analysis results indicate a moderately strong positive correlation between the price of Bitcoin and trading volume, as well as a weaker but still positive correlation between price changes and trading volume. Regression analysis further reveals the influence of price and trading volume on mining fees. This thesis contributes to a better understanding of Bitcoin, its market, and emphasizes the need for further research in the field of the economic significance of crypto- currencies. |
