Emphasis is placed on examining the properties and capabilities of~the generalized least squares method in estimating linear regression models, particularly when spatial dependence of~disturbance is present. The thesis also focuses on a systematic evaluation of various approaches to~the~analysis of spatial data through spatial econometrics. The aim of the thesis is to apply different approaches to~estimate real data in the presence of cross-sectional dependence and subsequently evaluate them based on evaluation criteria. The conclusion of the thesis is ambiguous, as all of the examined approaches can provide good quality estimates with the desired properties and their selection must take into account the nature of the data. Even so, the best approach was selected for estimating the input data of this thesis. |
