Velká Británie v procesu vícerychlostní Evropy

This dissertation aims to theoretically clarify the concept of differentiation of European integration, including the possibilities of its measurement, and on this basis to determine the importance of Great Britain for the development of differentiation of integration in Europe. The work first deals with an overview of the related European integration theories and the theory of differentiation and thus contributes to the relatively limited academic debate on this topic. Furthermore, the thesis applies the achieved theoretical knowledge to a multidisciplinary analysis of Great Britain's membership in European integration, which it further supports with processed data based on the only comprehensive index measuring European economic integration so far - the EU-index according to Ohr and König. The thesis concludes that the phenomenon of differentiation is closely related both to the development of European integration, and to Great Britain's membership in the EC/EU.
