As the main research method, a case study was established, which allows for a deep understanding of complex phenomena. By employing the Gemba walk method, which combines participatory observation and inquiry, weaknesses were identified within the inventory management process. Through the integration of ABC-XYZ analysis results with the spatial arrangement of storage areas, an effective packaging placement strategy was developed. This strategy includes the allocation of specific storage spaces for various categories of packaging materials and their optimal quantities at both key and less critical locations. The conclusion of the thesis outlines recommendations for storing packaging materials in corresponding sectors defined by the importance of the packaging categories. Frequently used packaging should be positioned near collection points, from where they are dispatched to bottling lines, and less used packaging in more remote areas. Additionally, a list of areas for potential facility development is presented. |
