The purpose is to provide insight into the factors determining the flow of foreign investment. The thesis consists of two main parts. The first theoretical part outlines FDI from a general perspective, where the concept is defined and explained through various theories, offering a foundational framework for understanding the significance and mechanisms of FDI. The second part analyses the investment environment in Vietnam, focusing primarily on the policy and legal framework, including an evaluation of government policies designed to facilitate and encourage FDI inflows. This section also illustrates investment trends from 2000 to 2023 and discusses the factors that contributed to their fluctuation. Finally, a SWOT analysis identifying strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats is presented. |
