Vyhodnocení dynamiky rozvoje destinací v oblasti meeting industry

The topic of this thesis is the Evaluation of Destination Development Dynamics in the Meeting Industry. The dynamics are examined through the segment of international association congresses, which form a key part of the international meeting industry market. The aim of the thesis is to identify and evaluate the factors influencing the growth in the number of these congresses and, based on available data, to determine the destinations with the highest development dynamics. The theoretical part defines the fundamental concepts of the meeting industry, describes its main development trends and factors that affect the number of association congresses held in destinations. The methodological part describes the data processing procedures, the design of development dynamics indicators, and the analytical methods used. The analytical part identifies the most dynamically developing destinations and provides a detailed evaluation of four selected destinations in terms of their growth and development factors. The results show that development dynamics are conditioned by a combination of high-quality infrastructure, accessibility, destination management, and technological investments. The COVID-19 pandemic caused a temporary decline in the number of association congresses, however, a gradual recovery has been evident since 2022. The findings of this thesis may serve as a basis for strategic destination planning and for international benchmarking among stakeholders in the meeting industry.
