Využití Power BI v řízení firmy

This bachelor thesis is focused on the use of Power BI tool from Microsoft and how it helps in one department that is part of the company DPDHL. The aim of the work is to analyze and demonstrate how the selected tool is used, and what possibilities and benefits it provides to the selected department. The content of the work is divided into two parts. The first, theoretical, is devoted to the analysis of the department, concepts such as business intelligence and self-service business intelligence. For these concepts, most space is devoted to why they should be introduced into the company and what are the important prerequisites for a successful solution. Furthermore, attention is focused on the Power BI tool itself, which is used in the department to create reports and analyzes. In the second part, i.e. practical, the reports that are used in the department are analyzed. It outlines what their advantage is. Finally, a new report is proposed, which is based on the real requirements of users. The benefits of this work are in the analysis of the Power BI tool and it is use in the department within DHL IT Services, and the design of a new report that reflects real requirements and should after implementation, help to understand information and improve data presentation to users.
