| Abstract: | Tato práce se v širších souvislostech zabývá změnami v zahraniční politice Kubánské republiky, ke kterým došlo v souvislosti s výměnou Fidela Castra za jeho mladšího bratra Raúla Castra. Zahraniční politika je zde zkoumána na hladině jednotlivce. Změny jsou identifikovány především pomocí analýzy osobností a způsobech tvorby rozhodnutí obou dvou prezidentů. Zároveň se zaměřuji na jejich rozdílný postoj v jednání s klíčovými aktéry mezinárodního systému. V závěrečné části práce poukazuji na pravděpodobný vývoj zahraniční politiky Kubánské republiky v následujících letech. |

| Abstract: | This thesis compares foreign policies of Cuban Republic under the governance of Fidel and Raul Castro. An analysis of Foreign policy is undertaken by comparing each individual policy and their apparent differences in architecture. The fundamental changes and differences are identified primarily by undertaking a personality analysis and looking at each president's ways of carrying out decision making process of policies that alter the governance of the nation. This thesis also focuses on their different attitudes in negotiation with key world governments. In concluding the thesis, I point out a forthcoming development of Cuba's foreign policy in the years to come. |
