Social media presents a big challenge to organizations that have, up till recent years, been able to control their overall business development through traditional media channels. Despute the large amount of advocates who believe these new information technologies offer benefits to small organizations, some CEOs remain skeptical.The Author, through her research and study entitled "The Benefits of Social Media as a means of Business Development for Small Organizations", hopes to make visible the importance of the tool and make the case for change by exploring how social media can increase business development for small B2C businsses.
