| Abstract: | Cílem diplomové práce Rozvoj cestovního ruchu v Kanadě (případová studie regionu Newfoundland) je charakterizovat geografii a ekonomickou situaci v Kanadě a také analyzovat cestovní ruch v Kanadě a na Newfoundlandu. První kapitola se tedy věnuje základní charakteristice Kanady společně s její ekonomikou a geografií. Druhá kapitola se zabývá charakteristikou cestovního ruchu v Kanadě a představuje tuto zemi jako destinaci cestovního ruchu. Poslední kapitolou je případová studie, která se soustředí na představení Newfoundlandu jako turistické destinace a na analýzu jeho cestovního ruchu. Závěrečná část práce se zaměřuje na zhodnocení potenciálu cestovního ruchu na Newfoundlandu a na možné způsoby jeho naplnění. |

| Abstract: | The aim of the thesis Tourism Development in Canada (Newfoundland region case study) is to characterize the geography and the economic situation in Canada and analyze the tourism in Canada and Newfoundland. The first chapter is devoted to the fundamental characteristics of Canada, together with its economy and geography. The second chapter deals with the characteristics of tourism in Canada and introduces the country as a tourism destination. The last chapter is a case study that focuses on introducing Newfoundland as a tourist destination and the analysis of its tourism. The final part concentrates on the evaluation of the tourism potential in Newfoundland and on the possiblities how to fulfill the potential. |
