| Abstract: | Předmětem této diplomové práce "Účetnictví fúzí dle US GAAP" je analyzovat principy účetnictví z pohledu fúzí a zmapovat určité účetní postupy a to jak pro stranu kupující tak pro stranu prodávající. Práce se věnuje vymezení jednotlivých pojmů, vzniku fúzí včetně historického vývoje, způsobům spojování a popisuje tzv. "trojúhelníkové fúze". V další části jsou rozebrány změny v účetních metodách a samotný průběh fúzí. Práce je doplněna názornými příklady včetně anglické terminologie pro jasnější a rychlejší pochopení souvislostí. |

| Abstract: | The objective of this thesis "Accounting for mergers - US GAAP" is to analyze the principles of accounting for mergers and to introduce the steps the acquirer and acquiree have to undertake. The thesis defines M&A and other terminology, describes the historical perspective, the types of combinations and also deals with the triangular mergers. The changes brought about by FASB and the process of mergers itself are incorporated in this thesis as well as examples and english terminology. |
