| Abstract: | Diplomová práce se zabývá příčinami vysoké plodnosti v rozvojových státech subsaharské Afriky se zaměřením na Nigérii a Etiopii. Cílem práce je identifikovat základní determinanty vysoké fertility v obou zemích a analyzovat hrozby a důsledky spojené s vysokou fertilitou, kterým budou vybrané rozvojové státy v příštích letech vystaveny, pokud nezavedou účinnou populační politiku, která dokáže vysokou plodnost snížit. V závěru práce jsou navržené možnosti řešení pro Nigérii a Etiopii, jak s tímto demografickým problém úspěšně bojovat. |

| Abstract: | This diploma thesis deals with the causes of high fertility in the developing countries of sub-Saharan Africa with a focus on Nigeria and Ethiopia. The aim of the thesis is identifying the key determinants of high fertility in both countries and analyzing the treats and impacts that will follow in the coming years unless these countries implement an effective population policy that would reduce high fertility. At the end of the thesis the possible solutions for Nigeria and Etihiopia are suggested to fight against this demographic problem effectively |
