Abstract: | Rodinné firmy tvoří významnou část ekonomiky. |

Abstract: | Family businesses constitute a significant part of the economy. Although there is a lot of attention paid to family businesses globally, there is not much known about the specifics of Czech family businesses. The thesis deals with the issue of compensation of employees in Czech family firms. There is examined both financial and non-financial compensation of employees. The aim of the thesis is to verify whether and why the income of employees in Czech family firms is lower than the income in non-family companies. The results of the regression analysis have revealed that in the Czech Republic, the income of family firm workers is lower than the income of employees in non-family firms. Furthermore, non-financial rewards of employees are examined, especially social and emotional rewards. The results of the collected interviews with Czech family employees show that family businesses have an environment characterized by close long-term relationships and mutual trust. |
