Abstract:
Definuje lidský kapitál, externality vznikající při investicích do něj, roli výše agregátních zásob lidského kapitálu v zemi a význam lidského kapitálu v otázce ekonomického růstu.

Abstract:
Health, as a component of human capital, and its influence on the economic growth is the main subject of this thesis. It covers the definition of human capital and externalities which arise with investment in this form of capital; it explains the role of aggregate supply of human capital in the country and the role of human capital in the economic growth discussion. With regard to the current negative trend in demographic structure it is a live topic to which extent do the human capital externalities have role in economic growth. The analysis of public health expenditures per capita, GDP per capita and population growth rate from Czech Republic and Federal Republic of Germany from the period 1992 – 2015 is done in the empirical part. The hypothesis about a positive relation of public health expenditures per capita and GDP per capita is confirmed.
