Medical underwriting in life insurance

Tématem této bakalářské práce je Zdravotní underwriting v životním pojištění, její skladba je založena na postupném představení životního pojištění a jeho produktové nabídky, optimalizace pojistného v investičním životním pojištění, procesu hodnocení zdravotních rizik (jinými slovy zdravotního underwritingu) a využitelnosti genetických testů v tomto procesu. Výsledkem práce je text pojednávající o aspektech, důležitosti a složitosti zdravotního underwritingu a jeho možných směrech budoucího vývoje a také publikace obsahující doporučení pro zájemce o životní pojištění. Přínosem autora je doplnění teoretických poznatků z oblasti sjednávání životního pojištění o jeho praktické provedení, například na ukázce modelování pojištění nebo zdravotních dotazníků a jiných způsobů ohodnocení zdravotního stavu.

The topic of this bachelor thesis is Medical underwriting in life insurance. The content of the thesis is based on sequental explanation of life insurance and its portfolio of products, optimisation of insurance premium in unit linked insurance, the process of evaluation of health risks of a potential client (medical underwriting) and the possibility of utilisation of genetic tests in the process. The result of this piece of work is a text that deals with aspects, importance and complexity of medical underwriting and the areas of its possible development. At the same time, this publication contains recommendations for prospective clients of life insurance companies. The author's contribution is represented in connecting the theoretical aspects of the process of contracting life insurance with its practical implementation by life insurance companies; e.g. by describing a model of insurance development, which is presented by life insurance company at the time of client's expression of interest in life insurance, or medical questionnaire and other forms of evaluating the health risks of a client.
