| Abstract: | The main aim of this master's thesis is to analyse the degree to which refugees were presented as a threat in the online media in the Czech Republic and Austria before and after the terrorist attack conducted on November 13, 2015 in Paris, exploring the effect of the terrorist attack on securitization of refugees in media discourse. Apart from the theory of securitization, agenda-setting theory expanded by the second level is used as a theoretical framework. The primary method used to achieve the specified aim is content analysis; furthermore, the author created the securitization index, which quantifies the extent of the degree of securitization and enables a clear comparison between the two states and periods. The author concludes that the researched degree of securitization considerably increased after the terrorist attack in both states, while in the Czech online media it was higher than in the Austrian online media in both periods. |

| Abstract: | Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce je prozkoumat, do jaké míry byli uprchlíci prezentováni jako hrozba v českých a rakouských online médiích před teroristickým útokem, který byl spáchán 13. listopadu 2015 v Paříži, a po něm. Práce tedy zkoumá především efekt tohoto teroristického útoku na míru sekuritizace uprchlíků v mediálním diskurzu. Kromě teorie sekuritizace tvoří teoretický rámec teorie nastolování agendy, rozšířená o druhý stupeň. Primární metoda, která je využita k dosažení vymezeného cíle práce, je kvantitativní obsahová analýza, přičemž autor vytvořil sekuritizační index, který kvantifikuje stupeň sekuritizace, čímž umožňuje porovnání míry sekurizitace ve zkoumaných státech a časových obdobích. Autor dospívá k závěru, že zkoumaná míra sekuritizace se po tomto teroristickém útoku značně zvýšila v obou státech, přičemž v českých online médiích byla vyšší než v rakouských v obou časových obdobích. |
