Abstract: | Diplomová práce je zaměřena na nalezení optimální hodnoty rozdělující portfolia škod dle velikosti. |

Abstract: | This thesis focuses on finding the optimal value dividing the claims portfolio by size for the purposes of reserve estimation. Methods for finding the optimal threshold value proposed in this work are based on generalized linear models assuming Poisson and Over-dispersed Poisson distributions. The first part contains theoretical introduction to the process of reserve calculation. Furthermore, the models used are described, including a set of evaluation criteria that can be used to find the optimal threshold value. In the second part, these methods are applied on data for educational purposes of the Czech Insurers’ Bureau. This part also contains comparison of the the results obtained using these methods. Possible extensions allowing partitioning the portfolio into more than two groups by size are proposed as well. |
