Abstract: | The thesis focuses on the way information influences the soft drinks market in the Czech Republic. It examines consumer behaviour of persons in the “20 to 25 years” age bracket and at the same time ascertains the consumers’ preferences, opinions, and attitudes. Its primary concern is the issue of rationality in relation to the consumption of a particular soft drink. The thesis employs marketing research techniques, namely questionnaire survey (n=113) and trial (n=26) conducted during a controlled tasting of 100% orange juices. The research identifies the main factors influencing consumer behaviour and checks the rationality assumption regarding consumption in soft drinks market. This leads to suggestions and recommendations for sellers/manufacturers to maximize their sales. |
