Abstract: | The bachelor thesis deals with the comparison of social models used in the Czech Republic and in Great Britain. The author complements this comparison with a SWOT analysis of these two models. The aim of the work is to evaluate which social model is generally more effective for the functioning of the labor market and whether liberal ideas in social policy remain desirable. When processing the work, the author concludes that the two monitored social models are very similar and it is not possible to clearly determine which is more effective for the functioning of the labor market. Both models have a more positive effect on the labor market, always in a certain area of the labor market. Concurrently, the author concludes that a better functioning of the labor market shows a model that behaves more liberally in the given area. The author finds the minimum wage to be the most important area and concludes that a lower minimum wage is likely to have led to better economic performance in the future. Based on macroeconomic data, in conclusion, the author makes recommendations for a more efficient functioning of the labor market in the Czech Republic. |
