| Abstract: | Diplomová práce přijímá výzvu autorů McNamara a spol., kteří ve své studii vyslovili hypotézu o možném vlivu nechvalně známých kauz na etické rozhodování IT pracovníků. Cílem diplomové práce tedy byla realizace výzkumu za účelem potvrzení či zamítnutí této hypotézy. Provedený kvazi-experiment je funkční replikací zmíněné studie, využívá metodu vinět a je teoreticky založený na Schwartzově integrovaném modelu etického rozhodování. Statistická analýza získaných dat objevila signifikantní nález u jedné z vinět, který v daném případě potvrdil významný vliv skandálů na vzorku populace převážně pracujících studentů informatiky. Tento objev však nestačí na to, aby bylo možné hovořit o vlivu skandálů na etické rozhodování v obecné rovině, zejména proto, že u IT odborníků žádná z vinět významný vliv neprokázala. |

| Abstract: | The diploma thesis accepts the challenge of the authors McNamara et al., who in their study hypothesised the possible influence of infamous scandals on the ethical decision-making of IT workers. Thus, the aim of the diploma thesis was to conduct a research in order to confirm or reject the hypothesis. The conducted quasi-experiment is an operational replication of the mentioned study, it uses the vignette method and it is theoretically based on Schwartz's integrated model of ethical decision-making. Statistical analysis of the obtained data revealed a significant finding in one of the vignettes, which in this case confirmed the significant impact of scandals on a sample of the population of computer science students with working experience. However, this discovery is not enough to talk about the impact of scandals on ethical decision-making in general, especially since none of the vignettes have shown significant influence among IT professionals. |
