Abstract:
K vytvoření této práce byly použity metody hloubkové rešerše, analýzy, kritické analýzy, komparativní syntézy a v neposlední řadě vývoj aplikace.

Abstract:
The thesis Modeling Pandemic Predictions Using Open Data defines what exactly open data is and what it is used for. The thesis describes the status and use of open data and datasets abroad and in the Czech Republic, and how the Czech Republic stands in international comparison. The assessment of the not very optimistic position of open data, more specifically their availability and subsequent work with them on Czech networks is then a stepping stone to the analysis of the importance of open data and datasets in the current situation, when the world is dominated by the Covid-19 pandemy. These data have the potential to be a great help in a more operational and effective management of the epidemic disease not only in the Czech Republic, but globally. Therefore, in addition to the theoretical part of the thesis, there is also a practical part – the development of an application that, using the epidemiological model SIR, allows to predict future developments of the pandemy in the Czech Republic. The development of the application follows the theoretical part and serves as a demonstration of the use of open data in practice. In-depth research, analysis, critical analysis, comparative synthesis and last but not least application development methods were used to develop and create this work.
